Mz. Stilwell is a Houston native. They have a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in Ceramics and Creative Writing, as well as a certificate of study in Asian Arts and Culture. They consider themself a jack of all trades, and is familiar with many mediums, including, but not limited to: drawing, painting, fibers, ceramics, and sculpture. Mz. Stilwell has experience as a studio potter, manager of an online jewelry supply store, and a teacher. They were an artist in residence at the Armory Art Center in 2011, and then at the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in 2012. They also had a year of post-baccalaureate study at the University of Houston, Clear Lake from 2012-2013.
The current school year is in their sixth year at Alvin High School and tenth year teaching total.
